Charles D. Cosby, 83, of Quitman, Texas passed away on March 4, 2020, in Tyler, Texas of natural causes. He was born on December 12, 1936, to Dick Cosby and Eva Johnson in Kaufman County, Texas. He married Shirley A. Cosby on December 29, 1956 in Dallas, Texas. He was a Master Electrician, Self-Employed for 42 years. He was an Ordained Deacon by Calvary Baptist Church in Quitman, Texas.
Charles is survived by his spouse Shirley Cosby of Quitman, Texas, his daughters Cheryl Cosby of Little Elm, Texas, and Patricia Birdsong of Corinth, Texas, his son James Charleson Cosby of Springtown, Texas, his sister Charlene Brown of Farmers Branch, Texas, his 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Will E. Cosby.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Graveside services for Charles will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Restland Cemetery located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church 779 FM 49, Mineola, Texas 75773.
