Charles Edward Floyd's Obituary
A resident of Irving, Texas, passed away Monday morning, March 10, in the comfort of his home. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, December 23, 1923, to Charles Archibald and Florence Anne Alley Floyd. He was a gentle and loving man and dedicated his life to the care and support of his wife and five daughters. He enjoyed a 50 year career in the motion picture industry, and proudly served the military during the WWII as a naval pilot, in the AROU unit and as a Naval Reserveman. His service spanned forty years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mattie McLendon of Mansura, Louisiana, his five daughters, his 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
