Charles L. Baskett's Obituary
Charles L. Baskett born on June 23, 1953 in Quanah, TX and passed away on March 19, 2016 in Richardson, TX. Charlie grew up in Garland, TX and graduated from South Garland High School in 1971. He lived in Garland majority of his life and in 2004 moved to Wylie, TX. Shortly thereafter he met the love of his life and true soul mate, Janet. They were married for 11 years and lived in Nevada, TX. Charlie worked and retired from GISD after many years of service with them. He then worked for Varo Semi- Conductor and also worked for many years and retired again. He was currently working for Garland Transportation as a school crossing guard at Luna Elementary until his sudden passing. His sweet smile and beautiful personality will be missed greatly by his family whom loved him dearly and was his biggest supporters and also his many friends. Preceded in death by his father, William C. Baskett. Survived by his wife, Janet Neely Baskett; mother, Elizabeth Boswell Baskett; brother Gary C. Baskett and wife Mary Kay Baskett; brother, Jeffery D. Baskett and wife Terri Hicks Baskett; sister, Karen Baskett Swaim and husband Terry Swaim; seven nieces and nephews, and nine great nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 6- 7 PM at the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 7 PM at the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 1 PM at the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
