Mr. Maples was my Principal at W.T White HS. He struck a perfect balance of rapport and discipline with his students. I was shy, and Mr. Maples was able to engage me and just check in. He was a gift. Thank you for sharing him in his life of service to our country and to our educational system. We were very lucky. God Bless his family and friends. I will always remember "Mr Maples" as the Smiling Principle. He always was a friend and handled matters fairly and firmly when need be.
