Tedford, Charles Eugene Long time Garland, TX resident Charles Tedford, 92 of Lindale, TX died January 16, 2010 in McKinney, TX. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jane Eubank Tedford, he survived by 3 sisters, Wanda Laughan of Wichita Falls, TX, Faye Hoggatt of Tulsa, OK and Rita Wilkins of Houston, TX, son Gary Tedford of Fairview, TX and daughter Judy Deaton of Abilene, TX, five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Born in 1917 in Jones County, TX near Anson, to Joseph A. Tedford and Willie T. Terrell Tedford. He attended the University of Oklahoma. He was the founder of Automatic Products Corp. Garland,TX. He served as trustee for the Precision Machine Products Association receiving the 40 year service award. He was active in Kiwanis International and served on the boards of Colonial National Bank, First City Bank of Garland, TX, Hide-A-Way Lake, Lindale, TX, and the First Methodist Churches of Garland, TX and Lindale TX. In his later years he volunteered for the Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. Throughout his life he was devoted to his family. His quick wit and loving smile will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be Tues. Jan. 19, 3:00 pm at Restland, 12005 Greenville Ave. Dallas in the Wildwood Chapel with interment following the service at Restland. Visitation will be Monday Jan. 18 6-8 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the Salvation Army or Meals on Wheels.
