In the spring of 2023, I took my infant son, her great-great-grandson, on Donna’s side, to see her at her assisted living home in Rockwall. It was a treat to visit her several times with my grandmother, mom and sister. Though her recollection of our lineage was a bit confused, she remembered me, Katelyn, specifically. But the very best moment that day, was when I introduced my son, Raylon Davis Jones, to her. She gasped at Raylon, and I could see the sense of honor and joy it gave her!
