Charlotte DeMoss Davis' Obituary
Charlotte DeMoss Davis, lived over 90 years on this planet and Tuesday March 11th, 2025 she peacefully went to sleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus.
Charlotte can be described in one word, servant. Charlotte was born, May 23rd 1934 to Gertrude and Edgar DeMoss, and she lived a life full of love, kindness, and compassion. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family and her faith, always putting the needs of others before her own. Charlotte was married to her husband Edwin Davis for 40 years and together they raised their two boys, Doak and Davey. Charlotte also helped raise to her step daughters Diane and Donna and loved them as she did her boys. As a wife and mother, she instilled in her children the values of love, respect, and generosity. Her unwavering faith in God was evident in every aspect of her life, and she devoted much of her time serving her church and community.
A true friend to many, Charlotte’s warmth, wisdom, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Whether through her acts of service or her genuine conversations, she offered a listening ear, and a caring heart.
Charlotte, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother, was a woman of grace and service. Her legacy will live on in the lives of her children, friends, and all those who were blessed to know her. She will be dearly missed, but will forever be remembered for her steadfast faith in Jesus, her love of family, and her generous spirit of service to those she knew.
After Edwin's passing in 1994, Charlotte moved in with her son Dave and his wife Stephanie, where she embraced the ranch life, working tirelessly for 27 years, raising cattle, horses, chickens and ducks, and helping Stephanie with everything. She loved to muck the horse stalls and collect the eggs daily, rain or shine. Charlotte was never afraid to get her hands dirty and loved the new lifestyle she adopted.
She was a true servant at heart, known for her delicious southern meals and beautifully decorated table displays that looked like they came straight out of a magazine. Though reserved, she was outgoing and affectionate once she felt comfortable with someone.
