Cheryl Lynn Kolberg's Obituary
Cheryl Lynn Kolberg, 54, of Carrollton, Texas passed away July 11, 2017 at Medical City Hospital due to complications associated with cancer. Ms. Kolberg was born on December 24, 1962, in Lansing, Michigan to Kurt and Karen Kolberg. She grew up in Garland, Texas where she graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School. She then attended the University of Texas. Ms. Kolberg was an executive assistant at HKS for 29 years and was actively involved in the Make a Wish Foundation. She is preceded in death by her father, Kurt Kolberg; grandparents, Arnold and Pauline Kolberg and step-grandmother Agnes Kolberg; Donald and Harriet Vanderwal and step-grandmother Mabel Vanderwal; and a brother-in-law, Eric Scurlock She is survived by her mother, Karen Kolberg of Athens, Texas; brother, Scott Kolberg of Wylie, Texas and sister, Coleen Scurlock of Hewitt, Texas; 3 nephews, Jeff Scurlock, Colton Scurlock, and Ethan Kolberg. Memorial service for Cheryl will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 3:00 pm in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made in Cheryl’s honor to the American Cancer Foundation or to Make-a-Wish Foundation.
