Clifford Studdard's Obituary
Les was born to Dorothy and Leslie Studdard on May 12, 1945, in Dallas. He passed away at home on May 4, 2023, of kidney failure.
Les graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master of Business Administration. However, he found that his life’s interest was in the arts and in venue and events management.
During his career he managed January Sound Studio, Fair Park Music Hall, Fair Park events, and the Meyerson Symphony Center. He felt that being General Manager of the Meyerson for almost 13 years was an honor.
Les was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and friend. He was known for his kindness. Through the years, he maintained lifelong friendships from Sunset High School, the University of Texas at Austin, and from his Dallas arts and art venues career.
Les is survived by Gloria, his wife of 55 years, Kelley Studdard, DVM, their daughter, and Cyle Foley, their son-in-law.
Les requested a Celebration of Life gathering for his family and friends in the near future.
