It was so sad to hear that our cousin Colin is no longer among us.

I just heard the news of the death of our American cousin. this is sad news. I have a great thought for Wendy, her children and grandchildren. all my prayers go out to him and I think of all of you

If anyone could have a true friend it was my best Mate, Colin.
Our parents go back to April 1939 where my Dad met Colin (Snr) at The Bank of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
A close bond and friendship developed and later I met Colin and we hit it off and our friendship blossomed and continued until his sad passing.
I was so fortunate to be able to talk with him from Australia, two days prior to his passing.
Colin was such a loving husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather -- So proud of each and everyone of them.
A role model to Family, Friends & Business Associates.
He was always there to help others.
May he rest in peace. He will be in our Hearts forever.

I guess the best memory I have of Colin at the 4th of July Party all those long years ago when we discovered you all and the Fullers were friends. He was such a charming and gracious host and a lot of fun. Met him briefly on other occasions, but that day stands out as a very special time. I love you and am praying for all who loved him. Colin was really an amazing man . He did so much for the Craig Gilbert scholarship for over 40 years . I enjoyed so much our time together talking about his kids and the students we were interviewing for the scholarships. Colin was a tremendous human being. I first met him when I was a high school senior in 1985 and then later reconnected with him around three decades later when he asked me to join the Craig Gilbert Scholarship Committee. These past several years I have really enjoyed getting to know him on a deeper level. He cared deeply about family, education, immigration and putting others above yourself, which is the spirit of the Craig Gilbert Scholarship that he ran for 40 years. I will miss him greatly!

Colin was a great man and friend to all that knew him. Though he was not born in the states he was an American and the most patriotic person I’ve every known. Colin and Wendy were renown for their July 4th celebrations, fun, food and friendship were always on the menu. Words cannot express my sorrow with Colin’s passing.
