Constance Ifeoma Okorafor-Chukwurah's Obituary
In loving memory and in celebration of the miraculous life of our dear mother, sister, and friend Adamazi Constance Ifeoma Okoroafor-Chukwurah. On the afternoon of Friday Oct. 13, 2023, at the golden age of 65, she was called home by our Heavenly Father surrounded by her loving daughters, caring friends, and faithful pastor at Texas Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Constance, or Cons as she was lovingly called, was born in Arondizuougu, Onu Imo LGA, Imo State on May 8, 1958 and is the eldest daughter of Patricia Nwajinma Egbosimba (nee Okoroafor). She was a devoted and compassionate mother to daughters Christine and Nicole and set the example of being strong, yet kind. Anyone who knows Constance knows that she was a genuine spirit, full of life, and had the most infectious smile and laugh. She enjoyed cooking delicious spicy Igbo recipes that she learned from her own mother. Feeding her community was her joy. She loved to have fun traveling, listening to music, or watching her favorite shows and movies, where smile was sure to shine. She loved her family and friends limitlessly, calling on holidays and checking to make sure they were okay. Constance remained a faithful Christian and gave her life to Christ to live for the glory of God. She was incredibly dedicated to anyone and everything she loved, never giving up. You never had to guess what she was thinking because she would let you know, even when it was difficult to say. She is reunited with her mother Patricia, sister Pamela Adobi, uncles Dr. Sunday Okorafor and Mazi Mark Kanu, and cousins Donatus Kanu and Ngozi Okorafor, who are all watching over us in heaven. Constance fought a long hard battle suffering from pain and sickness for 18 years, but she never allowed it to waiver her faith in God, love for her family, or her independent nature. She passed peacefully knowing that she would soon be seated with her Father in heaven, that she raised both of her daughters to live by her example, and that she loved and is loved by her family and anyone she crossed paths with while here on earth.
