Corbin Cass' Obituary
On August 2, 2016, Corbin Cass, beloved son, grandson, brother and friend, unexpectedly went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a 2006 graduate of Highland Park High School where he was a nationally recognized and distinguished debater who went on to attend Pomona College in California. He loved history and was a life longer learner. One of Corbin’s passions was discussing WWII with his precious grandfathers Papa and Mr. Frank who are honored WWII veterans. These men were Corbin’s heroes and he was fascinated by all of their courageous stories. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Ligon Cass; brothers, Carter and Cullen Cass; father, Greg Cass, extended family Elizabeth, Will, Sam and Katherine Scrivner; grandparents, Howard and Gail Greene and Dee and Frank Cass; aunts and uncles, Melissa and Blair Descourouez, Donna Cass and Brian Fuller, Mike and Oli Cass, Brian and Cherri Ligon, Don and Dianne Walton, Ron and Libby McGee, Skip Greene, and Bob and Pam Keenan, and all of Corbin’s wonderful cousins. Corbin was taken from all who knew and loved him too soon. He was a kind, gentle and giving young man who anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother and friend. We will miss you, son. “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10 A service celebrating Corbin’s life will be Monday, August 8, 2016 at 2 pm at Northway Christian Church, 7202 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Corbin’s honor to the Highland Park High School Debate Team c/o HPHS Education Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
