I did not know Dan personally. But I was close to his sister, Debbie, at Stephen F. Austin State University in the Fall 1975 semester. He sounds like quite a guy.

I met Dan when I was probably 9 years old, about 1978 or so. My parents had recently divorced, and my mom had joined a church group Dan attended.

He was one of about 4 or 5 men that I knew as a kid. He was always good to me. He helped my mom. To me, he was a good man with an easy laugh.
