My friend Dan. A pause to bring up old memories. We shared the scouting adventure with our boys. My friend was a kind hearted leader who guided the boys with joy and encouragement. As Jamie said in her funeral remarks he had a wonderful way of dealing with a challenge. The chuckle when someone did the task incomplete or wrong followed by a pause to simply say well we work harder. I haven't been able to match that wonderful position. Dan simplified life's challenges and delivered his words with kindness from his heart. Thankful for being my friend.

Dan was our CPA for our family and business for close to 25 years. He was one of the nicest men I knew. He was soft spoken but with a good sense of humor and loved what he did. I am still in shock and I know that he will be deeply missed by so many that were fortunate enough to know him.

I had to smile when I read "funny dry wit" at the start of Mr. Lassiter's obituary. Dan Lassiter was our tax accountant for about five years. Yes, he was one of the kindest people I knew. But, it was his smarty pants humor (and I'm paraphrasing) that made him so likeable. Whether it was good news or bad news around tax time, or even if I'd gotten gently scolded for something I could have done better, I always left Mr. Lassiter's office with a smile because of his unique sense of humor. He was the real deal and will truly be missed.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Dan Lassiter. Dan was not only my accountant for 29 years but a good friend, confidant and personal advisor. I will remember him as a kind, friendly, caring and giving person. You will be missed! RIP Dan!
