Daniel Louis Lassiter Jr's Obituary
Daniel Louis Lassiter, Jr. 74 of Richardson, Texas was born April 27, 1948, in Houston, Texas to Daniel Louis Lassiter (Bill) and Bessie Ruth Lassiter. Daniel passed away on July 5, 2022. He married Nina McCampbell on June 21, 1980.
Dan will be remembered for being kind, helpful, caring, and his funny dry wit. Dan was a tennis player and swimmer beginning in his youth. He and Nina shared a loved for square dancing and entertaining. Dan was the founder and owner with his son Matt of Lassiter CPA, PC. He belonged to his CPA Practice group and First United Methodist Church of Richardson. Dan was an Eagle Scout and former Adult Leader. He was the ultimate Dad/Fan for each of his children’s endeavors and most important he was Grandpa to Molly Wondolowski. Dan was a member of the Texas Society of CPA’s and the AICPA.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Louis Lassiter, and Bessie Ruth Lassiter. He is survived by his wife, Nina McCampbell Lassiter; son, Matthew Christopher Lassiter; daughter, Jamie Daniel Lassiter Wondolowski and her husband Andrew James Wondolowski and their daughter Molly Daniel Wondolowski; sister Donna Lassiter Boehle and husband Bobby Boehle and their children and grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews by marriage.
Family will begin to welcome friends for Visitation on Saturday, July 9, 2022, beginning at 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service for Dan will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at 2:00pm in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Committal Service to follow at Restland Memorial Park in Section Gospel.
