Darlene Johnston's Obituary
Darlene Barns Johnston, a longtime resident of Garland Texas, earned her angel wings on Thursday, January 15. After a long struggle, she passed peacefully, surrounded by family. Born on July 24, 1941 in Denton to Mildred Lance Helms and Homer Mann Barns, she was 73 years young. She was the 3rd daughter of 4 children. She married Jerry Don Johnston, who was waiting in Heaven to dance with her again. Her sister Joy was also there to great her in Heaven. She is survived by her sister Jeanne, Brother VL, daughter Tonja, son Ron Kent, 4 grandchildren (Heather, Steven, Ashley and Tracy), 8 great-grandchildren (Logan, Jacobi, Quenton, Cole, Caden, Keirson, Paisley, Ashton) and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service for Darlene will be at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
