Valerie – I was an undergraduate civil engineering student with David at Syracuse University in the mid-1960s. I just read in the S.U. Magazine (Fall 2011 issue) of his passing and was very sorry to see that (I found his obituary online). You may not remember me but I remember when you and David were married and lived in married student housing on campus (remember the skunk incident?). David was a good friend and someone whom I always admired and had great respect for. I lost touch with him, as well as the other C.E. students, after graduation but often wondered what happened to all of our classmates.
