Anita, not sure you will remember us, Bill and Linda Lane. We sorta helped jump start your photography adventures. I remember David asking us to please help peak your interest in photography. Well that wasn't hard. I remember one of your images of Buffalo in snow. Wonderful. We also share a great story about a conversation we were having with some folks complaining about Run Flat Tires. Out of nowhere David pops up and says they love them because bullets don't ruin them. We all looked at one another but no one said a word. Remember, we didn't ask our participants what they did for a living . So it wasn't until one Sunday evening while watching 60 minutes that I heard the name David Kay, looked up and learned why he liked Run Flat Tires.
Anyways, we wanted to send our condolences and say how very sorry we are. 82 is much too young to be taken. Wish we had been able to get to know you all better.

I am so sorry for the loss of my cousin, David Kay. I know he will leave big holes in the lives of every one of our family members, especially those who saw him frequently. He loves his family! He possessed a strong, unique personality – witty, intellectual, yet versatile. In my mind, he was a man of measured words. He seemed to weigh each word before speaking it and he seemed to possess wisdom beyond his years. When he began his battle with cancer I was confident that our prayers would bring about healing from the LORD, but after a considerable length of time, realized that healing this side of Heaven was not in the LORD's will for David – no matter how badly we all wanted it. The LORD gave David the mission to live out his strong faith in an exemplary manner to all who watched him as he dealt with the issues that besieged him from day to day. I am certain that when Christ Jesus met David at Heaven's gate, He said (with a huge hug) "Well done, My good and faithful servant!" I love you and will miss you, David Kay! I wonder if you are photographing all those glorious sights in your new surroundings! Looking forward to reunion when I come to meet Jesus, too. Susan Davidson Allen

I lost a very good friend on Tuesday 9/1/15, his name was David Kay. David showed me how to fight this horrible monster we call Cancer. David Kay fought the battle with strength, dignity and grace. His rock solid Christian Faith never once wavering. David never had a harsh word to say about anyone, though he did have his opinions. It seemed to me that the Lord carried him from day to day through the good times and the set backs he had during his journey here on earth. Never once did he say Why Me? I met David one Saturday morning as he sat on a brick wall with a cup of coffee in front of Thom Thumb admiring his brand new Harley Davidson motorcycle. Us meeting was not a chance thing, I like to believe it was a Harley intervention. From that day forward our friendship grew as we talked about our life experiences, our children, wives and growing ups'. Because of that friendship I met his daughter Caroline Kay and his wonderful mother Mary Kay. David could be a very quite person but yet if you sat and talked with him you would learn so much about him, his family, his journey through life and his love of family and photography. God Bless you David Kay ! I will miss the talks, Friday night dinners and adventures we shared. You are truly going to be missed by so many people that you touched. Your earthly family and friends bid you a farewell, I look forward to seeing you again someday. I know you're in a much better place, where motorcycle helmets are not required, ride safe my friend!
