Dr. David Preston passed unexpectedly June 2 after a 3-week battle with an infection. He was 82 years old. Growing up in Dallas, he graduated North Dallas High School, class of 1961. He went on to attend East Texas State and North Read Obituary
David was a friend and just a good person. He helped many a ham operator like myself. We worked at Eastfield College together where we shared many a lunch. David will be missed. Condolences from Lawrence and Helen Bradford.and family.
David and I met about a year and an half ago after connecting on Facebook. We were second cousins that had never met. He was happy to share many interesting stories as well as helping me connect the dots to family. So happy we had a chance to connect. My deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one.

I met David years ago in Eastern Star. He served as my worthy patron and after meeting him and getting to know him, we became close friends. There are very few people who have had such a meaningful impact on my life as David has had. His wisdom, intelligence and insightfulness helped to shape my views on many things in life. He never failed to compliment me and make me feel good about myself when I was feeling down. He helped me to see things in a new perspective. I will miss the fires together, the visits, text messages and long phone conversations. Dr Preston will always hold a significant place in my heart and I’ll always remember him fondly while enjoying a cozy, sparkling fire.

I had never met David Preston as a child! My sister Lisa connected with him and they visited on the phone! Then David,Lisa and I got together for lunch for the first time a couple of years ago! Since then we have shared lunch a few more times. He also was able to meet Lisa's boys when he came over to one of her son's house on Easter Sunday ! David will be missed very much!
