Coach Stacy was a favorite science teacher of mine at Gaston Jr. High (9th grade). He always was helpful to positive to each of his students and we had fun with all the experiments. He always kept us on time in the cafeteria as well…I so remember the booming voice "you've got 2 minutes!" and the countdown continued to keep us on schedule at lunch ?? RIP dear Coach Stacy…God bless
Thank you Luis. I remember this and how much fun we had.
Thank you, Richard Dear. David may have forgotten my name a few times over our 51 years together, but when asked if he remembered a student or athlete, I could see the wheels turning in his head. He not only remembered people, he had a recollection of how and why he knew them.

Thank you, Coach. David loved being around you and considered you a very dear friend.
Coach Stacy was one of my favorite and most memorable and influential coaches of my life. Small in stature, I always had to work extra hard on the football field, but coach Stacy had a lot of faith in me, and influenced my life in ways I'll not forget. I had no idea what the position, "Monster" was, until Coach Stacy said that I'd be a good one. So that'e where I played. He and Coach Bill Hitt were historic junior high football coaches when football was still king at the junior high level. Coach Stacy was a big part of that 1975-76 10-0 historic football season. I love you, coach Stacy! Luis Gutierrez, No. 30 W.H. Gaston Warriors 1975-76 City Champions
