I worked with Deborah in Harrison, AR at American Freightways. She always had a smile for me and I enjoyed teasing her. A special lady who has gone home to be with our Lord. She will be missed.
I briefly met Deborah in Dallas when she came to care for Lee's injured hand. It was evident that she was a wonderful mother and a very delightful person. I will forever be grateful that I had the opportunity to meet her. God Bless you.
We took two memorable trips with Deborah, one to the Tall Grass Prairie in Oklahoma and another to the Clinton Library in Little Rock, with Lee and her mother Frances. She was a delight to be with and her cooking at the TGP was marvelous.
On that day when I see All that You have for me When I see You face to face There surrounded by Your grace All my fears swept away In the light of Your embrace Where Your love is all I need And forever I am free Where the streets are made of gold In Your presence healed and whole Let the songs of heaven Rise to You alone No weeping no hurt or pain No suffering You hold me now You hold me now No darkness no sick or lame No hiding You hold me now You hold me now In this life I will stand Through my joy and my pain Knowing there's a greater day There's a hope that never fails Where Your Name is lifted high And forever praises rise For the glory of Your Name I'm believing for the day Where the wars and violence cease All creation lives in peace Let the songs of heaven Rise to You alone For eternity All my heart will give All the glory to Your Name -You Hold Me Now by Hillsong While we mourn the much too early death of Deborah Batson, we also celebrate her life and the amazing mother, relative and friend that she was to so many. Thankful that she knows Jesus Christ as her Savior and has met Him face to face. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Love you Lee!
