Deborah "Debbie" Garretson's Obituary
Deborah, “Debbie” Garretson, born on January 3rd, 1954 in Sherman, Texas passed away Friday, April 3rd, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, David Richard Lorber. Debbie was survived by her husband, Lynn Garretson; Mother, Johnnie Lorber-Allen; Brothers, David and Danny Lorber and their spouses, Linda and Jennifer; and several nieces and nephews. One of Debbie’s many joys of life was planning and cooking for those she loved and she loved to feed and entertain. Debbie loved to garden, decorate her home, work, and dance. She was not only the place for the celebration but she was the joy of the event. During her lifetime, she has rescued, loved and cherished many cats and many cats have lived in cat heaven because of the love Debbie poured out to them. She experienced several family trips and cruises that she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a long time alumni of the old Tom Thumb Old-Timers. Deborah’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:30 PM on April 8th at Restland Memorial Chapel located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243 with a graveside service following at the Whispering Waters III section of Restland. Family will receive friends directly following the graveside service at 2220 Timbercreek Trail, Flower Mound, Texas 75028 (directional maps located at the Chapel). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
