DeeAnne "Anne" Elaine Fritsche's Obituary
DeeAnne "Anne" Elaine Fritsche
Apr 22, 1969 - Oct 16, 2024
A beloved daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend, DeeAnne “Anne” Elaine Young Fritsche passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Anne was born on April 22, 1969, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
A proud Dallasite, Anne was fond of nearby Whiterock Lake, the Dallas Arboretum and sustainable gardening. Anne was also fond of Earth Day, saying she predated Earth Day by one year since, they are both celebrated April 22, with the first Earth Day taking place 1970.
Anne is loved and missed by her many families and friends.
Although we share the grief of Anne’s passing, we also share the joys of her life. If you knew Anne, you knew a force of nature. No one has ever seen so much get done, in so little time, by such a 5-foot-2 powerhouse … often in heels. Her commitment, whatever the job to be done, was always with 100 percent dedication to her family, friends and clients.
Anne loved all things green, and not only had a green thumb but a gold heart, flourishing both at home and in business. Anne loved plants and flowers and patiently taught her husband the ways of gardening, creating a haven in their backyard by hand. Each beautiful hibiscus bloom is a reminder of how much she is loved and missed, and that life is a beautiful thing.
In business her clients always came first. Be it helping a lawyer at a law firm, serving as a corporate concierge to clients downtown or at Neiman Marcus or in service to her guests at the Hotel Palomar as a beloved concierge — Anne was a bright light. And in that light, she was a full rainbow of love.
Anne loved all people and advocated for the rights of everyone. Her greatest love was a sense of community. She loved and befriended her favorite community radio stations — KDNK of Colorado and KNON of Dallas, where she received the perfect nickname from her favorite DJ and friend, David Pippin, who dubbed her “Anne with the Green Boots.” As a lover of music, she equally enjoyed and listened to the Grateful Dead, jazz, classical, modern and the music of her and her husband’s youth, filling their home with the sound of music.
Anne also loved animals and rescued many dogs of which many she adopted. She learned this love of rescue animals from her parents and shared it with her husband and the many rescue dogs that became their family members.
Anne patiently taught all of us in the sweetest possible ways about the many joys of life and love.
We will miss our bright light, our rainbow. But her beautiful memory and spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
