Dianna Lynne Smith's Obituary
Dianna Lynne Hooker Smith, age 76, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Dianna was born on October 9, 1945 to her mother and father Dorothy and Rufus Hooker. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Richard Smith; survived by daughter Deborah Bennett and family, Matt, Eric and Paige, Sarah, Zack and great grandson; Son James Robert Smith and family, Monica, Jordan, and Jarrett. Dianna worked as the Associate Registrar at El Centro College for 32 years, retiring in 2009. Dianna "Grandma" treasured spending time with her family as her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great grandson. Whenever possible, she loved going to casinos to play her favorite machine, Triple Play Draw Poker. She will be deeply missed by countless family and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or
Shriner's Hospitals for Children, her two favorite charities.
