Dianne Marie Beutel's Obituary
On July 11, 2025, at the age of 80, Dianne Marie Beutel gently passed into peace while at rest in her home. Born on April 12, 1945, Dianne was the second child of Alvin and Rosemary Schmucker and was raised in a joyful and lively household of seven — three sisters and three brothers — where laughter, hard work, and deep family bonds shaped her spirit.
Dianne was an adventurer by heart. When she graduated from Hereford High School’s Class of 1963, she moved to Dallas to pursue a life of service and compassion in healthcare. She studied at the University of Dallas and received her professional training at St. Paul Hospital, becoming a dedicated Registered Nurse. Her healing hands and gentle heart comforted countless patients throughout her career, and she was known not only for her skill but for the empathy she brought to every bedside.
During her nursing career, Dianne met Dr. Herbert "Herb" Beutel, who became the love of her life. They were married a few years later. After stints in Forney and Possum Kingdom, they built and moved to a country home outside of Seymour. They enjoyed the peace and quiet of their new setting as well as the excitement of hunting and fishing until Herb's death in 2009.
Dianne’s strength, warmth, and unwavering kindness defined her. Her life was a rich tapestry of care — woven through the lives of her family, friends, patients, and anyone lucky enough to cross her path. She lived with quiet grace and heartfelt generosity, always ready with a listening ear, thoughtful advice, or a warm embrace.
Though we feel the pain of her absence, Dianne’s legacy is eternal. She taught us the importance of family, and the beauty of living a life that lifts others. Her memory will linger in stories shared, in gentle laughter, and in every act of care passed forward.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herb, and her siblings Robert Schmucker and Janice Weinheimer.
She is survived by her four siblings: Margaret Boyett, Harold Schmucker, Marilyn Woodward and Charles Schmucker.
Dianne’s light remains — soft, steady, and forever cherished.
