I just loved Don’s quiet sense of humor. He always made me laugh with his quick and funny comments. Don was also one of those people who asked you a question and really wanted to hear your thoughts. He always seemed truly interested in other people. I’ll miss seeing him at the pool and at gatherings with our friends. I miss his funny texts also. I recently came across some adorable photos of breakfast characters he created.

So many great memories from your visits to Canada…with most of the them ending up with us being “over served” lol
We visited Ripley’s Aquarium, “Rosebud” Motel and the Scarborough Bluffs at sunrise. We enjoyed backyard pool parties, Debbie’s 60th and Don using a snowblower for the first time. We had Christmas & Cottage weekends, so many awesome memories we will cherish forever. I loved hearing you retell the story of when you saw the Northern Lights for the 1st time with Mike on your fishing trip, you were just blown away!
I loved what a good sport you were at our Canada Day Parties, always willing to wear the Canada Day props for the photo op!
We love you Don & will forever miss you! Thanks for the memories!

We have many wonderful memories with Don and loved our many visits with Don and Debbie at our Condo in Florida. They both became family of The Fairways. We enjoyed many pool days, beach days, Christmas in Florida, our Pontoon Boat ride where we shared a few cocktails, lots of laughs and family memories. We even had a Chilli Cook off and learned that there are no beans allowed in Texas Chili!!! Don’s heart was the size of Texas and he will be dearly missed❤️
When Audrey was born, Don made her a unique birth announcement using his creative and wonderful graphic design talents. We will always cherish this gift and miss him dearly.

We did not get to spend as much time with Don as we would have liked to. I remember when they were here in Canada for a visit and we took him and Debbie out for a tour of Constant Lake and yes he had many questions. He had a way of making you feel so comfortable that you felt like you had known him your whole life. RIP Don. Wish we could’ve had many more visits.
Families hunt. Double dating in his 64 Impala and my 63 Impala. Visiting his parents cleaners. Delivering cleaned clothes. Listening to the fights on the radio together. Good times in high school

We didn’t get to be with Don as much as we would have liked. I remember Rod and I taking him and Debbie on a boat ride on Constant Lake and yes Don was full of questions. He was so easy to get to know. He made you feel like you knew him for years. RIP Don.
Don and I had offices in the same building on Oak Grove for more than 10 years before he built an office at his home.
We visited everyday and discussed the design/advertising business.
His creative mind was unbelievable and watching how meticulous he was in producing his design was fun to watch.
He was always there to listen and help. One of the good guys.
After a conversation on the phone he would always say "let's go get a burger sometime."
He will be missed.

Donno was one of the good guys. He never even talked about being a leader (hard to find a good one); and yet he was. Gone too damn soon.
I have way, way too many fond memories of Don to pick just one, but a recurring one is the countless times when we sat in his studio on Oak Grove and he would say, "You fly, I'll buy" when we realized we were fresh out of cold Buds. I think I can safely say that Don Grimes was one of the best friends I ever had or will have, and I miss him dearly, knowing he's not of this world any more. I don't know what's in store for us after this life, but I truly hope, Don, that whatever's out there for you is filled with lakes, rivers, tanks and bays that hold all the fish you could ever dream of, and with none under 5 pounds.
