Donna Gayle Bogan's Obituary
Born February 24, 1953, in Borger, Texas to Margaret Fisher Bogan and Charles C. Bogan Jr. Her death was June 1, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. She attended Borger schools and graduated from Borger High School. She received her M.A. in Music Education-Instrumental at West Texas A & M University concentration in Oboe, English Horn, and Bassoon. She taught music in Dumas ISD and Kermit ISD before moving to Alice, Texas to teach in Alice ISD. She was a private woodwind teacher for several schools in the Corpus Christi area. She served as an organist for various congregations in Corpus Christi. From 2000 to 2010, Donna was the coordinator and performing participant at the Tom Stacy International English Horn Seminar in California. Donna was a member of the Corpus Christi Wind Symphony, and the Del Mar Community Orchestra. She was an active member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Donna, a Fabry patient, researched and attended events, corresponding with other patients for years. Due to her health problems, Donna moved from Corpus Christi in March 2025, to Dallas where she had living relatives. Donna will be remembered for her unwavering faith, sharp wit, humor, appreciation of puns and comics, and her musical talents.
Survivors include her sister Linda Mooter, her nieces Kristi Cross and Lisa Segerson, her sister-in-law Brenda Hyatt, nephews Mark McAdoo, Scott McAdoo, Michael Mooter and Charles Bogan. Predeceased by her parents, her brother David Bogan and her sister, Sandra Sebren. You may donate to West Texas A & M, the Northwest Texas Episcopal Diocese, or a pet rescue service of your choice.
There will be a graveside service at Westlawn Cemetery in Borger, Texas, at a later date.
