My wife Donna K (Bond Gideon) was named after her and our daughter Tory adored her and vice versa in her visits to Houston to see us when Opal Faye (Donna K's mom and Donna Elaine's sister) lived here. She was the best aunt in the world and I loved her from the day I was born. She even gave me my name. Her beauty, her kindness and her great sense of humor made every one of us feel better. She got a great love of life from her wonderful parents and never stopped sharing her joy to live, live, live! I will miss her so very much. She was always there for me and so many others. Though there are many, one of the times remembered most fondly was being with Elaine and Carla at a Greek restaurant to celebrate Elaine's 91st birthday. Watching her unconsciously enchant our young waiter to the point I thought there might be five of us leaving the restaurant instead of four was reminiscent of watching Stravinsky with a Stradivarius. Her vivaciousness came from within. Her smile was effortlessly genuine. Her sense of humor was the essence of Texas. Her charm was effortless. She will be missed as much as she was appreciated. The BEST step-mom in the world! I choose to remember the countless hours of fun that we shared over the many years! The trips, the boats, the lake house, the parties, the Cowboy games, and the stories we'd tell on one another! I'll never forget when I asked her to perm my hair…I looked like Billy Preston!
