Donna Joan Ricks' Obituary
Donna Joan Ricks passed from this world on April 25, 2023 after a valiant struggle against Cancer. Donna was born on June 15, 1936 to Donald Joerndt and Ruby Wolf Joerndt in Pontiac, Illinois. She subsequently moved to Dallas where she met and married William and began her family with the births of her son Jimmy and her daughter Tracey.
Donna worked as a Secretary at various companies and as a cafeteria worker at the Bullock Elementary School in Garland. Throughout her life Donna was an avid reader and she enjoyed bowling in various leagues with her husband Bill. She enjoyed her trips to Reno and Lake Tahoe, and especially enjoyed spoiling her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband William T Ricks, her son Jimmy D Ricks and sisters Joyce Rich, and Elaine Schroeder.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Tracey L McGrath (Kevin) of Waxahachie TX, Granddaughters Casey N White (Cody) and Haley Wilkinson both of Midlothian TX, Great Grandchildren Silas Bailey, Alexander White and Braylen White, and one Sister Sandra McKinley of Pontiac, IL and numerous nephews and nieces.
