Ms. Doris Lorene Cooper's Obituary
Cooper, Doris Lorene of Dallas died March 8, 2023 at her house in Dallas. She was born at her grandmother’s house in Bomarton, Texas on August 13, 1928 to Jesse James Church and Fannie Mae Snyder Church. She married her high school sweetheart, Hubert Edward Cooper, Jr. on June 1, 1945 and they were happily married for 68 years until Edward passed away in 2014. She worked in the payroll department of Braniff Airlines for many years. This permitted the family to travel the world in the 60’s and 70’s before that was a common vacation for many people. Other adventures included many camping trips all over the western United States. She was a wonderful wife and mother who considered family and friends the most important priorities of life. She was the last of six sisters that worked to keep the Church family together through the years with family reunions twice a year. Alma passes away in a automobile accident many years ago and Margie, Patsy, Judy, and Dixie all passed away in the last two years. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Daniel Edward Cooper and Susie, Pamela Kaye Marolda and Michael and Craig Steven Cooper and Sarita as well as four grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
