Just saw this and am very thankful that one of the family put it up. Doris was my best friend. She was always there for me as I was growing up. She was straight forward, tough when needed and always, but always, accepted an apology. Raised during the depression she, her brother and sisters lived in a small house built by her father in Texas. If you ever asked Doris, are you from Texas, she would say, Well I sure am honey with a great big smile and a personality to go with it. She and her sisters loved to sing and boy were they good. Doris loved football and in particularly, the Dallas Cowboys. She had season tickets for years and would dress in blue and white from head to toe when she attended the games. She got to meet Tony Dorset, running back for the cowboys and told him, honey, you are the cutest thing I've ever seen. You could not have a bad day with Doris around. She was so funny and her since of humor was the best. Living for 88 years she did pretty good. I am very blessed to have known her. Her spirit lives within us all and I for one will never forget my mom and best friend Doris.
