Doris Jean Shiveley's Obituary
Doris Jean Schiveley, age 88 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Allen, TX. She was born June 28, 1930, in Houston, Texas to John Willie and Velma Darlin Reeves. She married Rosco “Ross” Hobert Schiveley on June 15, 1951.Doris worked most of her adult life in retail sales, retiring at her beloved Neiman Marcus after 25 years of service. She is remembered by friends and family for her spirited personality, love for the Dallas Cowboys, her overwhelming generosity and devotion to her loved ones. She was our cornerstone of strength and vitality and left her mark on anyone that she encountered.Those left to cherish her memory include her Daughter, Kathy Jean Rice and her husband Gale of Antlers, Oklahoma; her son Ross Wayne Schiveley and his wife Sharon of Oakdale, California; four grandchildren; Amy and Jesse Velasco, Kathleen and Joey Knesek, Micah and Danielle Rice, and Nicole Schiveley; nine great grandchildren;Jaxx,Peyton,Madison,Josie,Julian,Jameson, Harper, Eleanor, and Shelby Kate; sister Glenda Mata and her husband Rudy, and Darlene James and her husband Jerry;and many nieces and nephews. Doris was proceeded in death by her Father and Mother; brother William; sister Marcella; sister Wanda; and sister Janelle.A Memorial will be held in her honor on the first day she brought joy into this world, June 28th 2019, at North Cities United Pentecostal church at 502 Beltline Rd. in Garland, TX. A private graveside farewell will follow at Restland Cemetery in Richardson TX.
