I was thinking of Dottie all day today. My heart is broken. She was a wonderful friend. She would call and tell me how her babies Ying and Yang were doing as I was there Grandma and she was their mom. She told me wonderful stories of what they would do and what fun she had with them. She even called and cried with me when My Mother passed. I will miss her so much. We both enjoyed people and sewing what wonderful fun stories she could tell. I had one for her today and I will miss her giggle. I send my love to her wonderful family and she loved you all so very much. I will be praying for you all I know she is in heaven with her family there enjoying their wonderful stories and looking down here on earth to help those still here. My heart is broken! Just now seeing this, as I had not heard from Dottie in several weeks. We had just made contact on FB after 30 years, but we never got to talk on the phone. I am so thankful that we had that reunion. Such a precious friend to me – we worked together at Rockwell. R.I.P. Dottie! Cynthia, I am so sorry for your earthly loss, but Heaven has gained an angel. Dottie was a very kind person to my mom, Mary and myself. As members of Big D 56ers, Dottie would always give my mother and I the easiest direction to all of the meeting events of our Club, knowing that we had a great distance to come. She always greeted us, made us feel welcomed and always made sure we had seats even though sometimes we ran late to our meetings. She will indeed be missed! Sharon G. Dot was a very Long Time Member of the North Dallas Orchid Society and Truly Loved Working with and being around Orchids. I Met Dot around 2001 and We Became Fast and Close Friends with Orchids Always the Center of Our Discussions. She would always tell her co-workers at Sams about the Orchids I would Give Her from time-to-time … and…Would always Tell Me Right Away When the Orchids would begin Blooming. Dot's Beaming Face and Smile, when she Talked about Orchids, was a Most Beautiful Thing to Behold ! I Would always Remind Her of the Meeting Dates and Times ….. We Really and Truly Had Fun Talking about Orchids, Thailand and ESL Classes. I Will Greatly Miss Her Tham and Charlie Johnson

Mrs. Dotty would come over to our house and we would eat, drink and laugh all the time. She came over last Thanksgiving and spent hours at our house playing with our little dogs. She even bought them a squeaky toy and they loved it. She made a table runner and decorated it with halloween stuff and gave it to my mother. Would tell stories of her life and smile from ear to ear. Wasn't afraid to speak her mind and has let me have it a few times. Loved to be around my mom and i along with others. Some time she and a group of us would go to taco cabana and drink margaritas and eat chips. We would stay there for hours and talk. She was a really big joy to be around and it's never a dull moment with her. She was so full of life and lived it to the fullest
