Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this sad and difficult time.
Dear Dale, The most vivid things I remember about your mom, whom since I was a young girl at the time, I called "Mrs. Luttrell" are… She always talked to me about her gardening. I wasn't really trying to be nosy. I really was interested in her beautitful plants. Especially when she put out those really humungous Elephant Ears on the side of the house between y'all' house and the Holcombs. I would go over to your house and spend lots of time talking to her when she was watering those EE. Maybe I was also waiting for you or Gary to get home. She must have thought I was retarded because I went over there a lot! Much later, when ark and I bought our own home here in Rowlett, I went to the nursery and bought my own Elephant Ear bulbs. I tried so hard, but for some reason mine never shot up. I will always remember that! Also, since Gary was my age and you a year younger she must have been confused about my intentions with her two innocent sons!! But it was all tame, I promise her!!! I just wanted you to be my brothers! I always wanted to know about your pets and the boats you were building and all that other stuff y'all did out in the garage. And why y'all watched National Geographic and Nova… You see, it was all because I/we didn't have brothers and I liked learning about boy things like dove hunting and the way y'all had of rescuing animals, like the hawk and the fox and other animals. I was truly interested in those model planes you had hanging from your bedroom ceiling. I loved the way your mother would come out at the same time every evening and call y'all in for dinner. She would come out, I believe around 6, and call "Gary!!! Dale!!! Dinner!" I loved it that you had a set dinnertime! These are some of my most precious memories and I think or would like to think that she had a special liking for me because I was/am sincere and that maybe I was like the daughter she never had. I love you, Dale.
What a wonderful tribute for a beautiful lady. I was just a young girl when we were neighbors in Snyder and was a playmate of Lorettas.
I met Dorothy in 4-05 she was the sweetest most geninue person. Dorothy loved her flowers and plants. We would sit on the back porch swing watching the birds and viewing her beautiful yard. I'll miss her very much.
Dear Loretta, Etta Mae and R.A. I don't remember Dorothy Marie, but I certainly do remember the three of you. I'm so sorry you've lost your sister; Evalee and I lost Allen two years ago, and his death has left such a huge hole in our hearts, so we know how you are feeling. Much love to all of you.
