Dorothy Marie Luttrell's Obituary
LUTTRELL, DOROTHY Dorothy Marie Luttrell, 84, was born August 5, 1925, in Indiahoma, Oklahoma, and died on November 15, 2009, in Dallas. For half a century she had made her home with her late husband, Wayne R. Luttrell, and their two sons in northeast Dallas where she tended a showcase garden of plants and flowers and loved her cats. For many years Dorothy worked for the government in civil service, most of her career at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. In Dallas after being an at-home-mother when her children were growing up, she was employed in the offices of Holcomb Services, Inc. In addition to her husband, her parents, Ruel and Iva Ferguson, Dorothy was pre-deceased by her son, Gary L. Luttrell and a sister, Margie Jackson. She is survived by her son, Dale A. Luttrell of Dallas; her daughter-in-law, Penney Gile Luttrell and granddaughter, Katelyn Marie Luttrell of Washington, Missouri; two sisters, Loretta Hunt of Corsicana, TX, and Etta Warriner of Richmond, VA; a brother, R.A. Ferguson of Snyder, OK, 18 nieces and nephews and many friends. Dorothy was a member of Casa Linda United Methodist Church The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. in Dallas where services in her memory will be conducted by the the Rev. Donald K. Jackson at 3 p.m., Wednesday, November 18.
