Basket of Memories was purchased for the family of Dorothy Merritt.
Dorothy was my mom's best friend. Dorothy had a great sense of humor and she always kept people laughing. Patty and Mike were schoolmates during our growing up years in Richardson, and we all attended St. Luke's Lutheran….all of us confirmed. Losing Dorothy causes a big empty space in my heart. Condolences to her family.

Mimi was my Grandmother. My fondest memories of her, were when I was a little girl. I remember her making homemade noodles on Thanksgiving and the smells of the holidays in her home when we all gathered together. She would always let me sit on her lap, no matter how big I got! She always let me color pictures on Big Daddies desk, with his special map colors. (She always encouraged me with my art.) Lucky Charms!!! She always had the softest hands of anyone I ever met. She was loved and will be missed… May God rest her soul.
Even through my tears, I can see you, I can hear you talking to me, softly "its ok Nancy, I'm home"! I miss your hands, your warm, sweet, fragile hands, but yet I can still feel the warmth of them in mine. I miss your voice, but yet I can hear you all around me. My heart is broken, but yet full of love, only love. My Mimi, I will forever be grateful to you. You loved me unconditionally, you taught me love, faith, peace & calm, all of which I am today. Rest warmly and peacefully now my Mimi. I will always love you! Nancy
My second mother for so many years especially when I was younger we spent almost every Thanksgiving or Christmas together it was the Porterfield's and Merritt's either in Fort Worth or Richardson we traded holidays each year for at least 15 years. Dorothy and my mom Shirley where friends in Peoria and when they both ended up married they ended up in Texas so it was like family getting together.
