I’m just so saddened by finding out Mrs Oakes has passed away. I loved her dearly ??“The Missionary”There was a sweet little lady, From Sweetwater, Texas. She ate fried rattlesnake, For her lunch and breakfast.She was kind and compassionate, Filled with love for her Lord. He called her to a foreign land, To teach and spread His word abroad.There as a missionary, As she was serving her Lord. She met her husband, A handsome brit named George.They were missionaries, Serving the Lord in Brazil. They were “Believers” teaching others, How our Lord can save you, and heal.They were blessed with two beloved sons, Raised them in our loving Lord’s ways. To be good Christian men, For all their earthly human days.She was also a teacher of children, For many, many years. Giving them knowledge for life, Down a good path she tried to steer.If every any worries or strife, Her handsome Brit would say. “Charlene if you’re gonna pray don’t worry, And if you’re gonna worry don’t pray”.She’s been blessed by the Lord, Has had a wonderful life. Is a kind, caring mother, Was a loving devoted wife.Thank you Lord, For sending me her way.
