Mrs. Dorothy Helen Wilson's Obituary
Dorothy Helen Wilson, 90, went home in the arms of her loving Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 1, 2022. She was born April 8, 1932, to Quayle Damascus and Hassie Dee Smith in Bette, Texas.
Dorothy's life was spent being a blessing to others. Her ministry was to witness to others no matter where she was. She was a member of Trinity Life Church in Mesquite, Texas. Dorothy was dedicated to her church family, whom she loved dearly.
Dorothy was all about her family. She loved cooking Sunday dinner for any of the family who were able to be there. She always looked forward to getting together with her siblings regularly. Dorothy prayed endlessly for her family and friends. She and her husband, Bob, had devotions together each morning before starting their day. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and counselor. We will FOREVER miss her.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Bob; her daughters, Cheryl Denman, Bobbie Williams (Billy Mack), Gena Smith (Scott) and son, Calvin Wilson (Carol); her grandchildren, Brandee Webb (Shawn), Wendy Finch (Chris), Amber Rice (Jeff), Kyle Williams (Adrien), Kristin Pickett, Erin Holmes (Chris), Leah Fisher (Michael David), David Wilson, Donna Strebeck (Tyler), Chris Webb, Daniel Webb (Lauren), and great grandchildren, Cassidee Schaapveld (Nate), Chloe Finch, Keira Finch, Beau Rice, Brighton Rice, Kennedy Williams, Finley Williams, Berkley Williams, Mack Williams, Kailey Chinesthagid, Brennan Pickett, Kinsey Stanton, Tatum Homes, Hudson Strebeck, Evelyn Strebeck, Tinley Webb, Mia Webb, and Charlie Webb.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Quayle and Hassie Smith; sisters, Marie Shamburger and Ruth Paschal; brother, James Smith; son-in-law, Mickey Denman; daughter-in-law, Liz Wilson;· great granddaughters, Rhylynne Holmes and Malorie Suzett Webb and great grandsons, Michael Jack "Mack" Webb and Ezekiel David "Zeke" Webb.
