Mr. Ed's towering presence, open-mindedness and quick wit was noticeable as our family joined FPCA. There was an immediate connection once Mr. Ed learned that we were from Chicago, i knew his family's neighborhood so he recounted their combined daredevil activities with brother and friends. Once i joined the session, Mr. Ed privately invited me to make unrestricted contributions during meetings. He observed our two boys keenly with compliments of good their good behavior and engineering predictions for their abilities to simply things. Mr. Ed and i competed for a minimum of count of two coffee cups, while cherishing the blessings and influence of his parents, and Ida his beloved soul mate. Our last encounter seems to have been premonition of his earthly departure. At the end of service, he walked up close and expressed his admiration of seeing us help, support and serve the congregation. I still need to summon the courage to inform the boys that strong Mr. Ed is no more. Mr. Ed will always be remembered for the shinning star in our hearts. Our deepest sympathy to his immediate and church families!
