Deepest sympathy to Kyle and Suzy. You have been in my heart and prayers. It is a wonderful blessing to have known Mrs. Gooch for over 50 years. She and your Dad and my parents were such wonderful friends through the years. I’m very thankful for the memories. I know you are thankful she is whole and well, and have the hope and assurance that you will see her again.

My family and I are related to Mrs Gooch through my Sister Suzy Gooch We have been so blessed to know her and share precious time with her and her husband for fifty years. This was mostly on Thanksgivings and Christmas but many other family occasions as well. She was an incredibly important part of our lives and especially holiday periods every year. We may have missed only one or two of those Thanksgivings or Christmases in all those fifty years There are so many memories but we all in my family remembered how much we would look forward to seeing her as it was like seeing the sunrise in the morning . Her smile and the joy she exuded brought so much happiness to all of us making those family occasions very special. We will miss her very very much.
Eddie Jo was such an inspiration to me and countless others. She was the best Bible Study teacher that I knew. When I worked at Lakeside Baptist, she frequently came by and brought the staff chocolate chip bundt cake fresh from the oven and our son, Allen, loved her oatmeal cookies! I used to meet her for lunch in the Lake Highlands area on a pretty regular basis. She loved the cafeteria in Casa Linda or Chubby’s on Northwest Highway. When I quit working at Lakeside I wasn’t able to get to the Lake Highlands area much so our frequent meetings dwindled. I did visit her a few times after she moved into assisted living facilities. The last time I was there I’m not sure she knew who I was. I will miss this dear lady so much! She was a blessing to everyone who knew her. I am praying for all of the family during this time.
