Wow….I was just looking up on how to find Eddie and how his life turned out. The last time I saw him was at my 10 year high school reunion back in 1986. And in 1974, he was the first boy my dad would let me go out with and I still had to go on a double date and be home by 9pm. Our family was intertwined with his and his family as well. What a gentleman he was! I am so sorry for your loss and just wanted you to know he impacted the life of many.
Hello, I just heard about Eddie today (1/11/2010). I was so surprised! I went to church & school with Eddie & his other brothers & sister. Please forgive me for asking, but what happened? Please let me know. I always thought he was a very kind person. I can't think of a time he didn't have a smile. A little late in hearing the news, but please know your family is in my prayers. Debbie & family
I am at a loss for words. I just found out about Eddie's passing. Eddie was the kindest and most gentle guy that I know. I used to work with him at TCB and he assisted me with getting my home mortgage at the same time that TCB was selling their Res Mortgage business. I am very sorry to hear this and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
I moved across the street from the Self family when Eddie was in the 8th grade. played in a garage band with his oldest brother Bobby. Eddie was always a good person, a hard worker and I always thought he was special. I knew Mr. & Mrs. Self, Bobby, Kenny , Cherrie and my heart is broken for them. But Eddie is with his father in heaven. All my sympathy, Ronnie Maxey and the Maxey family
Eddie was such a special person to me. He hired me in 1985, into the crazy Mortgage business, and I've talked to him ever so often over the years. Always adored and respected and will be missed.
