Edward Michael Self's Obituary
Self, Edward M. (Eddie) Was born on 2-13-56 in Homestead, PA. and departed this life for a much greener fairway on 6-17-09. Above all else, Eddie was a Christian. He and his family moved to Texas when he was 5. He attended Pasadena High School and went on to graduate from the University of Houston in 1978. He spent his whole career in the mortgage business. Eddie was the kindest, most caring, non-confrontational man you could ever meet. Eddie loved his family. He and his wife Melissa were best friends, hardly ever apart by choice. Eddie and Melissa were blessed by 3 wonderful, beautiful daughters whom he couldn’t be prouder of. He loved all of his girls and his dogs Augusta and Hootie. He loved golf, gambling, fishing and traveling with his family. Eddie was a selfless man and will be missed more than you know. He was dedicated to his family and touched the lives of others for the better. He was pre-deceased by 4 dogs he loved, Roxanne, Daisy, Bede and Shasta. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Melissa and his daughters Mandy Trom (Chris), Kimberly Self (fiance Sam), & Stephanie Cohen(Craig). His loving parents Ed & Ange Self, his 2 brothers Bob (Jeanne) and Ken (Wendi) his sister Cherrie Haugh (Brian.) His 2 brother-in-law’s John Denson (Laurie) & Michael Denson (Martha) and sister-in-law Becky Robillard. Many nieces and nephews, Godson Matthew Schuetz, cousins, friends and co-workers. Pallbearers are James Feagin, Chris Trom, Craig Cohen, Sam Buzzard, Randy Wilemon, Doug Taylor, Jerry Wood & John Denson. Services Monday June 22, 2009 at 1:30pm University Park United Methodist Church with viewing 30 min. prior. Viewing at Restland Sunday June 21, 2009 from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the ASPCA, NyNy, or KittiCo cat rescue. Happy Father’s Day in Heaven! All of our LOVE from your girls, Melissa, Mandy
