Haley for some reason i never seen your message before today. It was great reading about the impression my daddy left on you. He left that on all his family and friends and people he just met. Daddy never met a steanger.
I was an occupational therapy student who met Mr. Grinstead during a hospital stay during early March. I think our time together was therapy for both of us as he joked and reminisced on all things family. I was studying for my boards today and started to wonder about him and your family and I found this page. I knew he was a special man even though we had few encounters. At the time, I was debating if I wanted to move away from home or if I wanted to be close to my family. I remember leaving the hospital one day after visiting with Mr. Grinstead and calling my mom in tears. Your family reminded me so much of my own and I knew that day that I needed to be close to home. Thank you for allowing me to spend time with your family and showing me what matters most. Working in healthcare, you can't remember everyone but he is definitely one that I will always remember. Thank you for caring for my daddy. God bless Glenda
I am very sadden to hear of Edwin's passing. He was an amazing man who always put a smile on my face. I met him in the hospital & from the very first time we met, he warmed my heart. He reminded me so much of my grandfather who passed away in December 2012. He was full of life, humor & so much love for his family. Although my time knowing him was short, I will never forget him. He will always have special place my heart. Sherri L. Morgan, MD
Thank you so much for taking care of my daddy. May God bless you and keep you. Glenda
To my Daddy, the first man who ever loved me. I know you are at peace, and was ready to rest, because you asked Mom and I to let you go. I know I told you to do what you needed to do and I meant it, but I miss you so much and we need you to hold our hands and make us smile. I know that time will help heal the pain we feel right now and that you are still watching over us from heaven, but I just wish I could get a hug and hear you say " Love you too". Thank you Daddy for being the best and guiding us through life as you did and teaching us to love and respect others and to live our lives to the fullest. Daddy you are missed. You are my hero, the one person I could always count on for answers in this life. Enjoy the quite in heaven right now because you know when we all get there with you there will never be a dull moment. Love you, Punkin

It was a pleasure knowing him even if just for a short time. He always made me laugh.- Julie
The first time I met Ed at Los Rancheros I knew it was meant to be, because he was a big talker like I was. We would always share so many stories and then when he told me how he loved to fish and his fish frys we talked a lot more. He always had a warm smile and gave whatever and to whoever. Heaven has got another angel and I will never forget you Ed!!!
