I admired and loved Penny so much. She displayed a keen awareness which made it easy to honor and seek her wisdom. Her warmth and humor gave me comfort and many giggles. Penny, my mother and I spent a fun week together in Lake Tahoe. While there, we encountered a Charlie Chaplin impersonator. She leaned over and whispered "I think that's a woman!"
After another heartwarming visit with Penny, she waved goodbye from her balcony while monarch butterflies fluttered around her, beginning their migration. It was a lovely departing image of a truly elegant and dignified woman.
