Betsy hired me to be the print coordinator for telecourse guides at the R. Jan LeCroy Center in 1996. She was the kindest, most patient supervisor any employee could have.
Betsy was always upbeat and never said a mean word about anything or anyone. I learned a lot from her. I missed her when she left LeCroy but knew she went on to do greater things. I regret losing touch with her because she was a person so worthy of love and friendship.
Betsy was a wonderful loving person, who cared about everyone. My sister, Maxine, was best friends with Betsy in high school. They were as close as sisters. I remember when Maxine told us of Betsy’s drive for keeping our roads and highways free of litter. Betsy would stop her station wagon whenever she spotted litter and would go and get the litter, put it in the back of her station wagon to haul to the trash. She cared deeply about God’s world.
