Sam and Barbara and all the family: We are so sad and sorry. We know you're hurting so bad and will for a long time. The thing we're so grateful for is that she is with the Lord and we'll all see her again. We love you and continue to pray for you in the loss of this precious, brilliant gift from heaven above. We knew Beth as a child growing up at Richardson Heights Baptist Church, and also knew her whole family. She was a precious child with the sweetest smile. She was just a little younger than our two sons. Later I had the privilege as a member of the Richardson school board to know about her accomplishments and to see her graduate from high school with highest honors. I was so proud of her and proud to have watched her grow up. We are saddened by her death and especially for her family who now must go on without her on this earth. We are grateful for the assurance we know they have that they will see Beth again one day, and when they do, it will be such a happy day! God bless and keep you all. We know that Beth has left a strong and beautiful legacy which will impact lives for generations to come. John and Anne Foster.
We are shocked and saddened by this tragic loss. Please get in touch if you need anything.
I dunno know what to really say. Am in shock. I met Beth at her Sister's wedding last year. She was a blissful young woman. I am saddened by her passing. May The Lord give her family and friends the strength during this sad and trying time. Girl, you touched the hearts of many. Rest in Peace. Liz Shockley (Homewoodsuites)
I shall always remember her gentleness, her love and enthusiasm for math, and her amazing academic ability. I taught her two advanced level high school math classes, and she was one of my Mu Alpha Theta officers, so I was blessed to know her well. It was 14 years ago, but I recall two things very clearly. She and another math-lover (Reese Brown) memorized hundreds of digits of pi, and they would have a face-off whenever possible to see who could recite the farthest. Other students watched with amazement – they never made a mistake! And, in both of my classes, she read books constantly while I was teaching. I learned quickly that it did not detract from her learning; she really could do several things well, simultaneously. As I taught, and she read, she would occasionally lift up her head and look at what I was doing. I knew that meant one of two things: either I had made a mistake, or I finally got to a topic that challenged her a little. Either way, I looked forward each day to seeing her take a break from her passion for reading to join me in our passion for math. Our senses of humor were in synch (and yes, a little math-nerdy) and I loved to see the sparkle in her eyes as we bantered. She just glowed with happiness. What a unique person she was, and what a joy it is for me to have shared in her short life. Rest in peace, sweet girl. Gail Nobles, Berkner High School
I did not personally know Beth, but I knew of her through Barbara, with whom I have worked for several years. Barbara, please accept my sincere sympathy – my heart weeps for your and your family's loss. Jens Stubblefield
