Ann Cherry had a sweet and kind disposition. We met Ann through Mesquite Cumberland Presbyterian Church. We heard that she lived alone in her home since she couldn't attend church as often as she wanted to. It was our joy to meet her. Her eyes would light up as we brought her some Asian food. We would sit in that small kitchen table, enjoying the meal with her. My wife cooked that Dungarees crab for her and she loved it. She would savor the foods. It was something different for her to eat.
Even though at times she had to wear her oxygen mask, she took it off to speak to us. Her companion, Bianca was always by her side until he passed away. She shared that this Hispanic kind neighbor helped her from time to time. She even shared that she was grateful to her daughters who called and brought food for her. I will miss her soft kind voice on the phone, but I look forward to seeing her in heaven.
