Elizabeth Ann Cherry's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann King Cherry was born July 15, 1933 to the late Emory and Elizabeth Mims King in Dallas, Texas. Her Christian life journey continues with her passing on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Dallas at the age of 89.
Longtime member of the Mesquite Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Ann was a professional seamstress and operated a successful business. Producing draperies and upholsteries for an eclectic group of upscale clients over the years.
Mother of three children, grandmother to four, and great-grandmother of six, Ann is survived by her sister, Janet King Denham of Arlington; daughters and son-in-law(s), Cynthia Cherry Malnar Jones and Ken of Wylie; Judy Cherry Jacobs and Dr. Jerry of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Cherry (Jr) and Tammy of Midlothian. Grandsons: Justin Malnar (Meredith) of College Station; Cody Malnar of Alvarado; Clayton Cherry of Glenn Heights; Matthew Cherry of Venus. Great-grandchildren: Kyndra Gilliam Malnar, Jackson Malnar, Andrew Malnar, Benjamin Malnar, Penelope Malnar and Madeline Cherry.
Service and internment will be at Restland Memorial Cemetery on January 28 at 1 p.m. behind the Wildwood Chapel.
