Mac and I were fraternity brothers at Clemson. We played a lot of tennis together and I often caught a ride with him to Cheraw where we both lived. Generous and fun to be around. We went frog gigging one night and our boat sank. Fortunately we were in only 3 feet of water. I have great memories of a good friend.
I only met Mac once at a happy hour when my husband also attended. He was so pleasant and I was so looking forward to seeing him again. I’m so sorry Debby and family for your loss. Hugs. Joyce Standige
Mac and Debby helped to start Lake Cities Community Church back - now named "The Grove Community Church." Mac's wisdom, encouragement, and faithfulness were key to our church becoming established. Mac oversaw our financial processes, to ensure God-honoring stewardship. Everything he did was out of his love for the Lord Jesus Christ. I will miss his smile & joyful personality. I also want to say that Mac brought God's peace to every conversation - his own deep walk with God was apparent in all he did.
