Eve Catherine Chrones Solomos' Obituary
Eve Catherine Chrones Solomos passed away May 22, 2019 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 89. She was born September 5, 1929 in Dallas, Texas to the late Nicholas P. Chrones and Jewel Glanges Chrones. She lived in Texas until 2015 when she moved to Denver, Colorado to be closer to her daughter Suzanne Berry and Suzannne’s children and grandchildren.She married Leo Solomos on December 27, 1953 in Dallas, Texas. Together they raised three children Mary, Nicholas and Suzanne. Leo preceded Eve in death on March 15, 1995.Eve was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church having served as Chairman and Co-Chairman of the Food Festival. She was an honor graduate of Hockaday Junior College, member of Tau Gamma Epsilon Honorary Sorority and member of Scibblers – Honorary Writers Society at Hockaday. She was a past member of Richardson Junior League having served a term as Vice President, Richardson Women’s Club, Richardson Symphony Orchestra Guild and Teenpower of Richardson.Her personality and humor explain why Eve enjoyed lifelong friendships and was always surrounded by laughter and love. She spoke Greek, French and English. She was an earnest reader and adored the sweet innocence of the Hallmark Channel. Her grandchildren will especially miss her Greek cooking… avgolemono soup, dolmas and twisty cookies.Eve’s memory and spirit will live on through her three children; Mary Fallon, Nick Solomos (Lisa Lano) and Suzanne Berry; her eight grandchildren Erin Graves (Brian), Rachel Fallon, Meredith Velasquez (Jameson), Taylor Fallon, Amanda Harris (Tristan), Mason Berry, Nicholas Solomos and Jae Solomos; and her three great grandchildren Mack Graves, Marlowe Graves and Charlotte Harris. She is also survived by her godchildren Toula Anagnostis, Kris Ann Clift, Elena Fox, June Kacoyanis and nephew John Solomos.Eve was also preceded in death by her mother Jewel Chrones, father Nick Chrones and sister Doris Chrones.Services will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 at ( check Restland Funeral Home Website at a later time to check service details)In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Eve’s favorite charity St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital – 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. stjude.org
